Tapestry Development Group Welcomes Britni Grimes as Regional Development Director

ATLANTA, Dec. 9, 2024 — Tapestry Development Group (Tapestry) is pleased to announce the addition of Britni Grimes as Regional Development Director. Grimes brings more than 20 years of real estate experience, including 17 years in the affordable housing industry, to the organization.

In her new role, Grimes will oversee development projects funded primarily by Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Her responsibilities span the full development cycle, from site selection and deal structuring to construction management and lease-up. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Grimes will play a key role in advancing Tapestry’s mission to create and preserve high-quality affordable housing for underserved communities.

Grimes’s career has encompassed work with affordable housing developers, state and local government entities and a tax credit syndicator. Her efforts have helped develop or preserve more than 3,800 affordable rental housing units and over 400 single-family homeownership units.

Grimes earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Architecture with a focus on construction management from Virginia Tech.
